The Global Investor is going paid. I know that this might be a disappointment to some of you who thought that The Global Investor would stay free forever but there are several reasons why for this step.

In the first place, the only way to be able to do this full time sometime in the future is to go paid and work very hard towards achieving this goal. The Global Investor will remain a research service, rather than a recommendation service. This said, I will always disclose our portfolio movements and tell all subscribers what we are doing at every moment. Transparency and putting your money where your mouth is is key in investing.

Secondly, I want to build a community of investors that are eager to learn continuously. By building this community I expect to hopefully accelerate everyone’s learning curve through differing points of view.

From now on, all of the articles will be paywalled although some will be released (not many) for free from time to time. Paid subscribers will have access to:

Now let’s talk about pricing. I decided to set a price of $11.99/month. Annual subscriptions will be cheaper and will be fixed at a price of $130.00/year. With this, I get to the end of this short article to announce this important milestone for us.
